Event Entry and Camping Fees
You must purchase a camping pass upon entering the venue for the first time. The pass is good for the entire event and is charged per vehicle:
Car/tent camping – $10 per vehicle
RV/oversize Vehicle Camping $25 per vehicle
Solo and Teams Camping Locations and Restrictions
Solo row is on course and is for solo racers and support. There is a limited number of spaces that will accommodate an RV on solo row. Most of these places are below the finish line on Quarry Rd. If you choose to camp in this year be aware you will not have vehicle access out of the venue once the race begins.
Prime Spots: We also have a limited number of PRIME Solo spots. These are spots that are immediately adjacent to the timing tent and venue area and are ideal for racers who plan to race the full 25 hours and want to assure a great spot. These spots can be reserved in advance during registration for $20 and include entry into the venue.
Team Camping is located off Frog Town Rd and has an excellent view of much of the course. All teams are encouraged to camp in this area, as well as those with very large RV’s. The further down the road you camp the more quite and privacy you will have during quite hours.
What you should bring
Every race team should come equipped to support yourself to have a successful race. This includes all food and water needed for racing and camping. We suggest bringing a variety of food, as your tastes will changes the more you ride and the cooler the night time temps become. we also suggest you bring at least 3 gallons of water per person- after all you will be racing in the desert. We also suggest you bring a variety of layers. During the day temps can still climb to close to 80 with bright sun. During the evening the temps can dip as low as 40. Many racers have suggested toe booties and bar mits to assure all night comfort.
Fires: You may have a personal camp fire at your site as long as it is CONTAINED ABOVE GROUND. Bring a fire pan, chiminea, or fire barrel.
Follow link to see acceptable Fire containers HERE
What we have:
Water: We do have water on site for safety and volunteers, but you are responsible to bring your own.
Treat Zone : We have goodies like pie, homemade green chile, banana bread, that is all part of the MID-Night Pie time, and is only served during dark hours to those given that extra effor in the wee hours of the night. There is nothing like a fresh piece of pie at 3 in the morning 🙂 . We also have race support provided by our great sponsors like Honey Stinger and Elete, but these are extra’s and should not be relied upon to get you through the weekend.
Vending: We will have vendors on site to help fill the gaps. These could range from coffee to bike demo’s. There will also be vendor to charge and rent lights. See a complete list of current sponsors and vendor here.
